TASTE NOTES & ROAST DETAILS
From the mist-covered highlands of Northern Sumatra comes Batak Roost, our boldest single origin yet. Sourced from the legendary Mutu Batak Estate, this coffee grows in rich volcanic soil, surrounded by dense jungle and the cool mountain air that gives Sumatra Mandheling beans their unmistakable depth.
True to its roots, this roast delivers everything fans of Sumatra love, a heavy, syrupy body, low acidity, and complex earthy tones that hit the palate like a smooth bass note in a morning symphony. Expect deep flavors of dark chocolate and butterscotch, rounded by warm spice and subtle herbal undertones. Every sip lands with a satisfying richness that lingers long after the cup is gone.
What makes Mutu Batak beans special is the traditional wet-hulled process (known locally as giling basah), which helps preserve that deep, resonant flavor and velvety mouthfeel Sumatra coffees are famous for. It’s earthy, sweet, and perfectly imperfect — the kind of cup that doesn’t just wake you up, it calls you back for another round.

Another amazing flavor. So far there's only been 1 flavor out of like 10 that I wasn't super excited about. I'm so happy that I found this company as it's the only brand I have been drinking over the past 2 months. Yum!

Sitting on my front porch enjoying the November sunshine while I sip on a fresh brewed cup of Silkie Swirl. Was kinda worried that I wouldn't like it because cinnamon hasn't been a favorite flavor of mine recently BUT it's amazing with just the right amount of flavor
We found them at a local Lantern Boat Festival, and the coffee was amazing. They were super friendly, and I loved the Bourbon Pecan blend so much that I purchased a bag to gift. Look forward to trying more of their coffees! So happy to have found another local coffee company!

This is an awesome pumpkin flavor because there is NO spice just 🎃 pumpkin. Yum! Grinding some of the beans so my friend can make a pot of her own at home
