About the Cerrado Region – Brazil
Located in the western part of Minas Gerais, the Cerrado region is one of Brazil’s most distinctive coffee growing areas. This vast plateau sits between 2,800 and 3,600 feet above sea level and is characterized by its rich, well drained soil and a uniquely stable climate with clearly defined wet and dry seasons that create ideal conditions for consistent, high-quality coffee production.

Coffees from Cerrado are celebrated for their uniformity and clean cup profile. The region’s modern farming practices and emphasis on traceability have made it the first in Brazil to earn the official Denomination of Origin status, recognizing the unique characteristics tied to its geography.
